This is Cowardice! Mr Parsekar
I have made no bones earlier about my complete lack of confidence in your ability to hold the position of the chair of the Chief Minister of Goa. That opinion had nothing to do with your personality or character but your weakness which is a simple lack of fortitude to take the right decision in the interest of the people of Goa. As a person you are simple and down-to-earth, but easily manipulated by the leaders of your political party, with no intrinsic character of your own.
Right from the onset of the news that noted priest-turned-social activist Fr Bismarque Dias was missing and later on found dead, as CM of a state, you should have acted keeping in the mind the repercussions such a death would have had on the people of Goa at large. It would get people aggravated and they would not keep quiet. Fr Bismarque was respected because he had no allegiance to any political party but to Goa, therefore, he would have made many enemies. The investigations could have been conducted more sensitively and diligently in order to find out the truth. The passing of the case to Crime Branch is a joke, after Goa Police messes up all the evidences and botches up the case, you hand it to Crime Branch. It should have been done immediately. Crime Branch too will fail. Goa Crime Branch has a track record of failing in solving cases. The unsolved case of Vasco Rape Case is still fresh. After Crime Branch, then someone will ask for Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) and the investigations will continue to drag on.
I also cannot fathom how could you appoint P.I. Sinari to investigate the death of Fr Bismarque, when it was clear that both individuals had several altercations in the past on several issues.
Yesterday’s disgraceful stance of the Goa police to arrest, drag and beat; silent, non-violent protesters fighting for justice and truth in the death of Fr Bismarque is a clear indication of the fact that you and your entire government machinery are a bunch of cowards, who tuck their tails between their legs when the Nigerians thugs hold Goa to ransom right in the middle of the NH-17 near the Goa Secretariat. But, when it comes to our own innocent elderly, youth and children, you decide to show your strength and power. You resort to dragging and beating our people, while you showcase Goa to the globe through IFFI.
The once idyllic state is slowly becoming a cesspool of corruption and a harem for the shady businessmen from out of Goa, who know that you and your government like the former Congress leaders who were ruling are pimps who just sell Goa in a different manner for a different price. But having said that I would still forgive and not forget any leader for the sin of corruption. But the sin of violence and harm to our own people to show you strength to your outside masters, is unforgivable and must be punishable.
The people of Goa will punish you. You will never be the Chief Minister of Goa ever again and I am quite confident that your party too will never come to power, even if you bring your master-strategist now India’s Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar back. I remember during the Nigerian rampage, he stood by the Goa Police force reasoning with the people of Goa and India, that Nigerians were seven-feet giants and the police are no match for them. I suppose he meant to imply that they can only be brutish to young, harmless Goans. Where is foot-in-the-mouth ‘gyan’now.
My earnest suggestion is that you start clearing your CM’s desk and make place for new able leader. And one more thing, Fr Bismarque will get justice because he has the prayers of many Goans with him. This is a not a death by drowning but murder. Yesterday you murdered democracy.
