Goa Gets Yet Another Engineering College

With the commissioning of the Don Bosco College of Engineering at Fatorda, Margao, Goa now has five engineering colleges that will be producing 870 engineers every year in four more years. The other Engineering colleges in Goa are Goa Engineering College of the Goa Govenrment, Padre Conceicao College of Engineering managed by the Pilar Fathers,  Rayeshwar Institute of Engineering and Information Technology at Shiroda and the National Institute of Technology at Farmagudi.

Presently there is lot of discussion/debate on education department’s “no fail” policy up to VIII standard, I feel there is no point in discussing this and wasting valuable time. Instead academicians, educational department’s officials should work on how to implement the right of children to free and compulsory education Act, 2009.

Chowgule College– Achieving Milestones In Education

The Chowgule Education Society’s Smt. Parvatibai Chowgule Cultural Foundation College of Arts and Science, Margao was established in June 1962. It is the oldest institution providing instruction in Arts and Science streams up to the graduate and post graduate level in the state of Goa.
 The College moved into its own new and spacious premises in 1971 and has been affiliated to Goa University since 19th June 1986.
The College was re-assessed by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore in January 2009. NAAC has re-accredited the college with Grade ‘A’ with CGPA score of 3.29 out of 4.
