CBI interrogates BJP accused MLA Kuldeep Sengar in Unnao Rape case
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday interrogated BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh and others in connection with the rape of a minor and murder of her father at Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh.
“CBI is conducting a thorough investigation, including examining the accused persons, victims, relevant witnesses after three separate cases have been registered relating to alleged rape and violence in district Unnao (Uttar Pradesh), on request from the State government and further notification from the Central Government,” the national agency said in a statement here.
According to CBI, the first case was registered after taking over the investigation of a case of 2018 earlier registered at Makhi Police Station under Sections 363, 366, 376, 506 of IPC and Section 3/4 of POCSO Act on a complaint against an MLA (Kuldeep Singh) and a private person (Shashi Singh).
“The second case after taking over the investigation of case registered at the same Police Station under Sections 323, 504, 506 of IPC and 3/25 of the Arms Act on a complaint against a private person (Pappu @ Surendra Singh), resident of Sarai Thok village in Malkhi area of Unnao district,” the probe agency said.
The third case has been registered after taking over the investigation of a case, earlier registered at the said Police Station under Sections 147, 323, 504 of IPC on a complaint against four accused (Vineet, Baua, Shailu and Sonu) and unknown others, it added.
