CBI refutes Drug Complaint on Goa BJP Ministers

Contrary to the media hype surrounding the CBI complaint filed by Sudip Tamankar alleging the involvement of two BJP Ministers Laxmikant Parsekar and Dayanand Mandrekar in the politician-drug nexus in Goa; senior officials in the CBI-Goa Unit and CBI-Head Office in New Delhi both refute the claims stating that they have not received any such complaint.

Furthermore senior officials in CBI stated that the procedure to file a complaint does not happen with just an individual filing a complaint but with either a directive issued by the Central government, state government or the Courts (Supreme Court and High Court). Therefore any such complaint cannot be entertained even if it is received.

Interestingly, Tamankar in his media briefing has not been able to provide hard evidence to back his allegations on the political-drug nexus against both BJP Ministers.

BJP Goa too has brushed aside the allegations leveled as a mere publicity gimmick of the Congress with no substance or evidence to prove their claims.
