Cong, BJP High Command in Goa to kick start Assembly poll campaign
Currently Congress has been put on the mats with the aggressive anti-illegal mining campaign launched by BJP both at the state-level and Centre. Alleging that the Congress led-government at the state and Centre are party to the rampant illegal mining in the state, BJP plans to file its own investigation report on illegal mining and present it to the concerned law enforcement authorities. BJP leader Manohar Parrikar who was removed from the Public Accounts Committee for strongly objecting to the Speakers non-tabling of the PAC report has also met with Shah Commission investigating the illegal mining scam in Goa and presented all details of the illegalities.
While Brar has not be reachable on the telephone, sources in AICC say that Brar will attending a couple of meetings and addressing the people of Goa on the plans of the Congress government in the forthcoming elections and also finalizing the first list of fifteen candidates that will be giving the Congress ticket.
When GoaChronicle.com spoke to Arti Mehra on her visit, she said that her visit was to finalize the election plan and first list of candidates as well as address the people of Goa on the plans that the BJP government has in store for the people Goa. She will also be addressing the media on the illegal mining issues and other issues of corruption which the people of Goa need to be made aware off.
