Cong Secretary Reddy develops ‘Ghajini’ syndrome

In what can be considered to be a case of short-term memory loss made popular in recent time by Aamir Khan in the movie ‘Ghajini’ or a cover-up to complaint letter sent by a Goa Pradesh Congress Committee member to AICC President Sonia Gandhi, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary Sudhakar Reddy has refuted the announcement made by AICC national secretary and desk in-charge Jagmeet Singh Brar that the party has short-listed 20 candidates for the forthcoming elections.

In a press note sent to different media houses in Goa, Reddy, stated,  “Congress is a national party and is having its inbuilt transparent process, only after getting the clearance from high command, the Pradesh Congress committee will make the names public through Pradesh election committee, who on screening the candidates will forward the list to AICC, New Delhi and then will forward it to the central election committee headed by AICC president and once the list is cleared by CEC, they will release the list at AICC, New Delhi.”

He further added that Delhi will never bypass local Pradesh election committee and will never impose candidates on Goans by suppressing party procedure.

The question however, the Reddy fails to explain is the announcement of the selected list of 20 candidates was made at a media briefing in which the general secretary Sudhakar Reddy was seated next to Jagmeet Singh Brar when this announcement were made including the one in which the Congress Party will consider given ticket to family members of existing ministers or MLAs if they have a win ability quotient.
