Following the findings on the inquiry conducted by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) panel and based on the recorded statements of the sex-trade victims, an F.I.R has been registered at the Crime Branch Division in Goa.
Two girls rescued at a recent raid on a prostitution racket in Calangute have made startling revelations in the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) panel inquiry stating that the police officers in Calangute, Mapusa and Bicholim police stations have sexual exploited them at different times in return for no-stoppage of their prostitution business.
The girls in their statement have named a Head Constable. And the F.I.R. names the Head Constable. However, the police officials are reluctant in revealing the name of the Head Constable; reportedly because of his close association with some political leaders, who might try to bury this case.
