The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has opened a new office in Mumbai, India. It will be tasked with identifying new business opportunities in India for Chamber Members, attracting Indian companies to Dubai, and expanding bilateral trade and investment.
The number of Indian companies registered with Dubai Chamber rose 38 percent, from 27,727 in 2015 to 38,238 in the first half of 2018.
H.E. Hamad Buamim, President, and CEO of Dubai Chamber, stated that the opening of the Mumbai office will not only expand Chamber’s global presence but also act as a strategic move to enhance economic ties with India. He added that the opportunities in infrastructure, logistics and urban planning sector in India are increasing due to economic reforms and development plans.
Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a non-profit entity, established in 1965. It promotes Dubai as an international business hub and supports the development of business in the emirate.
