Dynastic Politics Entering BJP: VP
Shanta Kumar who was in charge of Karnataka state also revealed that he had informed his party leadership about the wrongdoings by Karnataka Chief Minister Yedyurappa.
However, he regretted that the party leadership did not take any action against him as a result of which the entire party image stands tarnished now given the indictment handed over by Karnataka Lokayukta Santosh Hegde.
Recalling that he had in fact recommended dropping Yedyurappa as the chief minister, Shanta Kumar lamented that democratic principles in the party are being forsaken for dynastic and other considerations which in turn is diluting the BJP’s uniqueness of being a party with a difference.
While asserting that the BJP was still the best option from amongst the political parties in India, he however called for a serious introspection so that the party can live up to the expectations of the people as a large number of India still look forward to the party, he said.
