Goa police arrests criminal wanted in Rajasthan for extortion
Calangute Police in North Goa on Wednesday arrested a person wanted by Rajasthan Police in connection with an extortion case.
According to Calangute Police Station incharge Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi,
acting on the information provided by SP North Chandan Choudhary, the Calangute police, including Dalvi and staff arrested accused Ravinder Kumar Singh (37 ), resident of Hauz Khas, New Delhi, who was required by Rajasthan police.
The accused person was absconding since February 7, 2018, in crime no:59/2018 U/s 323, 341, 387 R/w 34 IPC registered in Vigyan Nagar Police Station, Rajasthan since last month and was on a running spree.
All efforts made by the Rajasthan police went in vain as accused person had misguided them and landed in Goa last week.
Accused along with his accomplices had committed a crime of extortion in Kota, Rajasthan.
Based on the photographs received the accused was traced in a hotel at Candolim. Further as accused had gone out PI Dalvi and his staff waited outside and later nabbed him while he was returning.
The team of Rajasthan police was arriving tonight to take the custody of the accused, Mr Dalvi said, adding the accused was remanded to judicial custody.
