Ist Test day 3: Ishant 5/51, England all out 180; India need 194 to win

Birmingham, Aug 3 (UNI) Ishant Sharma’s 5/51 tore apart England batting line-up as the hosts were all out for 180 on day 3 of the first Test against India as the tourists need 194 runs to win.

Again it was Ishant who was on fire took two more wicket of Buttler and Broad after Lunch taking to 5 wickets, Buttler was caught off behind by wicketkeeper Karthik at score of 1 while Broad was caught by Dhawan at score 11 off 28.

However, it was Curran who put a brave fight and stood firm at one end despite English batting kept tumbling, Curran forged 48 run partnership with Rashid for their 8th wicket partnersip and then in similar fashion further added 41 runs with Broad for 9th wicket.

For India it was Umesh Yadav who scalped wicket of Abdul Rashid and Curran. Rashid’s 16 came off in 40 balls with one four. Curran’s balsted 63 off 65 with 9 fours and two sixes.

Ashwin also took three wickets while Umesh Yadav also contributed with 2/20 after 7 overs with one maiden.
