Mahila Congress demands justice for constable Arsela Parsekar
The members of Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress led by their President Pratima Coutinho took out a procession from Congress state quarter to the state head quarter of Goa Police demanding justice for Constable Arsela Parsekar who had allegedly committed suicide few days back.
The Congress members numbering around hundred later sat in front of the state police head quarter’s entrance as they were not allowed to meet higher officials of the state police.
They carrying placard in their hands and shouted slogans demanding justice for the late constable.
Speaking to reporters, Coutinho claimed that police was not doing proper investigation into the incident which was nothing but a murder.
They demanded that a police inspector posted at Verna Police Station in South Goa district be suspended and a case of murder be registered instead of a case of suicide.
Few days back Arsela Parsekar, a resident of Anjuna, had allegedly committed suicide. A case was of unnatural death was registered at Verna Police.
