NCP Suspends Deshprabhu
NCP President Surendra Sirsat confirmed that they have already received a fax from NCP’s Honorary Permanent Secretary S R Kohli about Deshprabhu’s suspension.
“The suspensions order has been issued and his positions in other states have also been withdrawn”, he said.
The fax order stated that the action has been necessitated in the interest of the party.
It may be recalled that State Mines and Geology Department had fined Deshprabhu Rs 1.7 crore for illegal mining in Korgao, Pernem. He was also summoned before the Sessions court but he failed to appear before it. He had then moved an application for anticipatory bail, which was rejected and following which he was arrested by the Crime Branch.
