No carnival events on beaches to promote tourism: Goa Minister
Goa Tourism Minister Manohar Azgaonkar said that there was no proposal with the government to organise carnival programmes on beaches of the state to attract tourists.
In a written reply to a questioned tabled by Congress MLA Francisco Silveira, Azgaonkar said, ”No”.
He was asked whether the Government proposed to organize Carnival programmes on beaches to attract the domestic and foreign tourist.
The minister also replied in negative to a question whether the government had proposals to organize musical shows of famous Indian stars during carnival festival.
