Police To Probe Cop’s Sex Scandal

Deputy Superintendent of Police Sammy Tavares has initiated an inquiry into the sex scandal wherein a constable attached to the Mapusa Police Station reportedly forced a girl to perform oral sex on him while she was in the lock up.

Constable Vishwavijay Parab who is accused of the act, has already been placed under suspension and also arrested revealed Superintendent of Police, North Arvind Gawas.

Parab has been booked for having unnatural sex, outraging the modesty of a woman and illegal detention and assault.

The girl who had rescued herself from a prostitution racket, in her statement has also stated that she was illegally detained at the Pernem and Mapusa police stations.

The inquiry will also find out why the girl was not produced before the magistrate for nearly four days and why she was shuttled between Pernem and Mapusa police stations. Besides, the conduct of two other police personnel including a lady constable, who did not stop Parab from his pervert act nor report the matter to senior officials, will also be probed.

The irony is that the victim was forced into prostitution after being lured to Goa from Mumbai with an offer of a job in a casino

It may be recalled that last year, another sex scandal had shamed the Goa Police when a head constable was filmed by his colleague having sex with a commercial sex worker in the police jeep at Calangute.
