Panjim: Goa reported 456 new cases of COVID-19 while six persons succumbed to infections on Thursday.
According to media bulletin issued by Directorate of Health Services, the new cases took the tally of confirmed cases in the state to 15,483.
However, 356 patients were discharged from various facilities taking the number of total recovered patients in the state to 11,867.
On Thursday, 2830 samples were tested, out of which 1953 were negative, while results of 421 reports were awaited.
The dead included 58-year-old man from Taleigao, 95-year-old man from Margao, 69-year-old man from Margao, 84-year-old woman from Bambolim, 65-year-old woman from Paroda, 54-year-old man from Margao.
As on August 27, 2020, number of confirmed cases stood at 15,483, active cases at 3,445, number of persons who had recovered from the virus infection 11,867 and death at 171 in the state.
