Malappruam: Bharatiya Janata Party’s National Vice President, A P Abdullakutty has filed two complaints in police stations over alleged conspiracy to kill him.
The complaint filed at the Ponnai police station said, a group of men mocked him and insulted him at a restaurant in Ponnani while he was having his dinner there.
The Ponnai police said, they received the complaint at around 10 p.m. on Thursday night.
The other complaint, filed at the Kadampuzha police station said, some people pelted stones on his car somewhere outside Kuttippuram at midnight and later a lorry hit his car from behind twice. The BJP leader was on his way back to his hometown Kannur from Thiruvananthapuram.
This was a planned attack and has to be investigated, Abdullakutty demanded.
Police has registered two cases in this regard and investigating, Malappuram Superintendent of Police, U Abdul Kareem told sources.
Condemning the incidents, BJP Kerala Unit President, K Surendran said, the party will hold protest meetings across the state.
