Aurangabad, Maharashtra, May 25 (GCCurrentAffairs) The Anti corruption bureau (ACB) Jalna unit have arrested a Gramsevika of Pavse Pangari village in Ambad taluka of Jalna district for allegedly demanding a bribe amount of Rs 10,000 from a contractor.
The ACB official said in a statement on Friday, “The Gramsevika identified as Manisha Mahapure allegedly demanded Rs 10,000 from a contractor to issue cheque of balance payment pertaining water supply pipe line work under the government scheme done by him.”
The contractor then registered a complaint against the Gramsevika in ACB office.
Based on the complaint, ACB investigated the matter, which extract that Ms Mahapure demanded bribe from complainant, the statement said.
On Friday, ACB sleuths booked her under the relevant sections of anti corruption modified act, 2018 in Ambad police station, it added.
