Accused dies in custody in MP Kidnap-Murder Case

Jabalpur: The prime accused in the kidnap-homicide of a local-resident transporter’s 13-year-old son whose corpse was found on Sunday in the Bargi Dam Canal near Bichhua village – has died at the District infirmary where he was rushed after his health suddenly deteriorated in police custody.

“Aditya left his Dhanwantari Nagar dwelling on Thursday evening but failed to return. Maharajpur-residents Monu Vishwakarma, Malay Rao and Karan Jaggi were placed under arrest. The motive was money required for repaying a debt. Despite the fact that the ransom was paid, the minor was murdered as he had identified Vishwakarma. A sum of Rs 7.66 lakh and four cellular phones were appropriated”, Superintendent of Police Siddharth Bahuguna said.

Additional SP Gopal Khandel confirmed Vishwakarma’s death.
