Activists Move Court Demanding Action Against Gudlar

Thirteen activists moved the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Court at Mapusa demanding action against Police Sub Inspector Sunil Gudlar over the revelations made by him in a sting operation.
The activists have expressed fears that the police are attempting to save Gudlar and pointed out that not even a First Information Report has been filed against the officer even though he made some startling disclosures that are against the law.

Kashinath Shetye pointed out that the Gudlar case reveals not only corruption and contravention of law, but also abuse of power and position.
The complainants have demanded that Gudlar be booked under Prevention of Corruption Act, Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act and the Indian Penal Code for indulging in corrupt practices, selling drugs and stealing narcotics from police custody.
