Agent Dupes Youngsters

Around 25 youngsters from different parts of Goa complained to the Margao Town police that an agent with office at Margao has duped each of them of Rs. 55,000 by promising jobs in Canada. The youngsters complained that the agent has refused to pay back the Rs. 55,000 they had spent of which Rs. 50,000 was paid as a deposit to the agent and Rs. 5,000 was spent on the medical examination.
They further pointed out that a cheque issued by the agent was returned dishonoured due to lack of sufficient funds in the account.
While accepting the complaint, police however have not registered a case against the agent as he has reportedly promised to pay back the money by 6th July.
