AIMIM corporator beaten for refusing to pay tributes to former PM Vajpayee

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Aug 17 (UNI) Sayed Matin, corporator of All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) was beaten on Friday when he opposed to pay tributes to the departed leader and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the Aurangabad Municipal Coporation (AMC) house.

The incident happened when a general body meeting was called on Friday morning on discussion on the issue of parallel water line project in the house of AMC, sources said.

When, the AMC mayor Nandakumar Ghodle proposed a condolence meeting in the respect of the former prime minister Vajpayee, Sayed opposed to this, the BJP coprorators including Rajgaurav Wankhede, Pramod Rathad, Rameshwar Bhadve and Madhuri Adwant beat him.

Later, Matin was taken out from the house by the security guards of AMC.
