Agartala: Air India, a government-owned enterprise has all set to launch it’s first non-stop flight between New Delhi and Agartala thrice a week from tomorrow in the midst of the persisting threat of Covid-19.
The airport sources said that Air India flights on Delhi – Agartala routes would run on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The 146 seats airbus would start at 0535 hrs from Delhi and reach Agartala at 0830 hrs. The same flight will fly from Agartala at 0930 hrs and land Delhi at 1220 hrs.
At present, IndiGo has been operating a daily direct flight in the route besides five connecting fleets. The 180 seats daily IndiGo airbus starts from Delhi at 1210 hrs and reaches Agartala at 1440 hrs while returning at 1520 from here and landing Delhi at 1810 hrs.
Only Air India and IndiGo have been operating as many as 16 flights in Tripura connecting Agartala with Guwahati, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangaluru and all other major cities of the country after resumption of flight service during Covid-19 pandemic.
