New Delhi, Sep 17 (UNI) BJP chief Amit Shah on Monday met the ailing Goa Chief Minister Manohor Parrikar at AIIMS here.
Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar, who was shifted here on Saturday, is undergoing treatment and is showing improvement, sources said.
“As any other case, the Goa Chief Minister too is kept under observation,” the source said.
Union minister Vijay Goel also visited Parrikar, sources said.
The ailment of the Chief Minister – who also went to the US for treatment recently – has forced the BJP leadership to explore the possibilities of replacing Parrikar.
Meanwhile, in a fast paced development, the Congress in Goa has urged the Governor Mridula Sinha to dismiss the Parrikar government and give Congress an opportunity to form an alliance dispensation.
The Congress has 16 MLAs in the 40-member assembly.
The BJP is heading a coalition regime with 14 of its MLAs and supported by MGP-3, GFP- 3 and 3 Independent legislators.
