An Ode to Women
When consciousness came to me
I knew I was in the womb of protection
There was caring and a comforting voice of woman
That spoke to me of her love with no condition
When I saw the world for the first time
I knew there was a promised of something good
I saw that bliss in her eyes and I knew
Here is a woman who will love me like no one ever could
Two sisters, teachers, girl friends, best friends
I met the woman at different points in my life
The care and comfort never changes, love always flows
Now, it continues with two daughters and a wife
Whenever I felt lost and insecure
A woman has always been by my side
Sometimes as a mother, wife, friend and daughter
She has always been my guide
It strange how we men forget that simple fact of life
That a man without a woman is incomplete
Because she is vessel that carries life, she is your comfort and companion
Without a woman, man himself would become obsolete
