1- What do you think are the changes that have happened in Goa in the last four years and what do you see in the future of Goa in the next four years?

Frankly nothing positive if you equate it to the tremendous potential we have. I’ve travelled the World, got Business interests in many parts of the World too and its just so puzzling to wonder why Goa cannot lead India by example in all departments when we have 2 fabulous reasons why we should A) Our Exposure & B) Our Resources. I don’t see much progress in the years to come, unless Entrepreneurs like me adopt Topics of Interest to Goans and people beyond Goa and invest in it with our own Vision and not rely on Government Planning or Investment, but just their licensing permissions. Beginning from Education to Society to Amenities.

2- What are the most critical issues working towards Goa’s advantage?

Our image on the National & World Map, its already there, we just have to build on it. Our people are so forward in thought, they respond to anything positive. Also the size of our State, you can cross Border to Border in under 90 minutes.

3- What are the most critical issues working towards Goa’s disadvantage?

The Vision of our Government, beginning with Petty Quick Time Gains rather than a Long Term Sustained Plan. The ability to not believe in the Youth of Goa who can truly revolutionise thoughts. Thirdly, the ability to forget we’re the Smallest State in the Country, but still one of the most known State in World & it would be so easy to lead by Example.

4- What does Goa need to do over the next four years to be recognised as a Global destination?

Import the Sheikh of Abu Dhabi maybe ? 🙂 Kidding. I’d say Plan & when I mean Plan it starts from the Farms to the Skyscraper. Planning also means making use of Talent within Goa to find a solution or reaching out to the World to assist us in this department and then managing it; its always good to ask when in doubt, thus Experts exist. You achieve plenty when “who gets the credit” isn’t an issue. Every issue must be meticulously analysed and restructured. I can guarantee you that you don’t even need investments for most of it, if we just structure the Administration & Process you’ll see a change. In return it will also attract international investors to invest in the projects viable for the State.

5- Are the people of Goa its biggest drawback or its biggest strength?

The people of Goa or any place in the World can be your greatest strength or your greatest drawback. It’s what you make of them; it’s what you make out of them. Just like leading a team, a good captain will take any of his available players through successful strategy implementation and arrive at Victory. The others will only play the blame game by further damaging the team. Goa has the best Team Players you’ll find and on par with many international cities. All they need is good administration and leadership that listens, then decides and implements with follow up and feedback. We’re not far away, I’d say start today, we’ll notice the change, its never too late till its too late.
