Panjim: Over 1600 foreigners stuck in the state due to the 21-day lockdown initiated by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi now have a ray hope to return back by their respective countries.
Chief Minister of Goa, Dr Pramod Sawant has told media reporters this evening that around 1600 foreigners who are stuck in Goa, will be in the coming days, airlifted by their respective countries.
The 21-day lockdown was initiated by the Indian government across the country to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
So far in Goa five positive cases of COVID-19 have been quarantined. India has reported over 1139 positive cases till now.
