#ArrestBishopFranco:NCW to take suo-moto action against transfer orders to nuns
New Delhi: The Chairperson of the National Commission for Women (NCW), Rekha Sharma has decided to take suo-moto cognisance of the transfer orders issued by the Missionaries of Jesus to the four nuns supporting the rape victim who has accused Bishop Franco Mulakkal of rape multiple times.
Sharma decided to act on the transfer order action of the Church body, after the news broke that four nuns who have been supporting the rape survivor nun were being transferred from the Kuravilangad convent to their previous ones.
Sharma criticised the church body for supporting the accused Bishop Francis Mullakal.
However, the NCW chairwoman, continues to sleep on the GoaChronicle and IndianExpose complaint demanding an investigation into the failure of the senior Catholic Church leaders to act on the nun’s complaint of rape accusations against Bishop Franco Mulakkal and attempt to cover-up the crime through their silence.
If religious institutions will be biased towards a person who is been charged for rape and punish the victim and supporters who will stand by the?
