Education Minister Babush Monserrate announced in the House on Thursday that the Education Department has prepared an integrated education policy through experts that maps education in Goa right from the kindergarten level to higher education, which he said will be announced on 11th April.
He said a special technical section has been created in the Education Development Corporation to address the issue of repairs of schools.
He also acknowledged the need to upgrade the quality of education in rural areas to match that imparted in urban areas of the State and announced the constitution of committee that will advice the government on these matters.
As part of the golden jubilee initiative, he said the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has been provided with a one time grant of Rs. 2.8 crore besides Rs. 25 lakh as maintenance grant.
