Jaipur, Dec 11 (GCCurrentAffairs) The opposition Congress has established an early lead on 91 of the 175 Assembly seats in Rajasthan, trends of counting for which were available here.
The ruling BJP nominees were leading in 73 constituencies while others were ahead on 11 seats.
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje was leading in her bastion in Jhalrapatan, her predecessor and AICC General Secretary Ashok Gehlot was ahead of his rivals in Sardarpura-Jodhpur and Congress state chief Sachin Pilot was leading in Tonk.
However, the leader of the Opposition in the state assembly Rameshwar Dudi (Nokha-Cong) and former BJP state president Ashok Parnami(Adarsh Nagar-Jaipur) were trailing behind in their respective constituencies.
Elections on Friday last were held on 199 assembly seats. Polling was countermanded on Ramgarh seat in Alwar district following the death of BSP nominee Laxman Singh Chaudhary.
