Bihar Minister Vinod Singh passed away

Patna: Bihar Backwards and Extremely Backwards Welfare Minister and BJP leader, Vinod Singh died after prolonged illness today.

He was about 50 years of age.

Singh breathed last in a leading private hospital in Delhi during treatment where he was admitted after brain haemorrhage.

He was elected from Pranpur seat on BJP ticket in Katihar district in 2015 Bihar Assembly Elections.

The deceased leader had tested Corona positive in June and was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Patna.

He was cured of Coronavirus infection but could not recover fully and had suffered brain haemorrhage recently.

BJP has fielded his wife Nisha Singh from Pranpur seat as he had been critically ill.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Health Minister Mangal Pandey and other leaders expressed deep shock over the death of Vinod Singh.

They described his death as a great loss to Bihar politics and prayed to almighty for eternal peace to departed soul.

Pandey said, Singh’s demise as his personal loss.

Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar described Singh as a popular leader and an able administrator.

His body would be cremated with full state honours as per the guidelines issued for funerals during Corona pandemic.
