BJP attempting to topple Maharashtra government: Sanjay Raut rants after ED summons to wife

Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Monday fired verbal salvoes at the BJP while levelling serious allegations against the Enforcement Directorate.

Raut was addressing media persons after the ED sent to summon to his wife, asking her to appear before the agency on Tuesday.

Attacking the BJP for attempting to “topple” the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, he claimed that for the past one year, some senior BJP leaders are meeting him continuously.

He asserted that the purpose of such meets is to convince him to maintain distance from the MVA “as they have made all preparations to bring it down”.

“Despite all efforts and threats by using the CBI or the ED or any other agency, the BJP will not succeed to browbeat the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress ruling alliance. The BJP cannot even harm a hair of the MVA,” he told.

“This is a political war and we shall only fight it politically,” he remarked.

Lashing out further, he said, “Don’t take ‘panga’ (fight) with me. I am the late Balasaheb Thackeray’s Shiv Sainik. I will expose you all.”

“I have a list of 120 BJP leaders (scams) which the ED can investigate for five years. They will have to take flight like Nirav Modi or Vijay Mallya to foreign countries,” he added.
