BJP High Command not to relent on Illegal Mining Issue

While the local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) outfit has toned down its allegations and demand against the Congress-led government in Goa on illegal mining; the high command is in no mood to let go of this issue and plan to continue with its demand for the Chief Minister resignation and Central Bureau of Investigations probe into the illegal mining scam in the state which according to their reports is Rs 25,000 crore.

Speaking to GoaChronicle.com on a telephonic conversation, Arti Mehra, national secretary – Goa In-Charge, said, “We have already sent our report to the CBI and Central Vigilance Commission, we are awaiting the replies from them. In the meantime the Shah Commission report too will be out. Taking all developments into considerations we will formulate of next strategy, but we will not relent on the illegal mining issue.”

On the toning down of the BJP Goa stance on the issue, Mehra, stated to the best of my knowledge whether BJP Goa or the High Command we work on a common agenda for the party benefit. Rival parties are trying to create this disarray about problems between local outfit and high command. But we are working to a plan and we will get the results soon.
