BJP to go full throttle in August ahead of UP assembly polls

Lucknow: With assembly polls to the Uttar Pradesh assembly just round the corner the ruling BJP led by Yogi Adityanath has now gone full throttle to complete the development projects, party officials said on Tuesday.

The month of August will be crucial for the state as Prime minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit the state at least twice to inaugurate various development projects. Union Home minister Amit Shah is expected to visit Lucknow on August 1.

BJP president J P Nadda is also expected to launch the party’s poll campaign in the second week of August.

Sources here on Tuesday said that Prime Minister Modi is likely to lay the foundation of the Asia’s biggest airport at Jewar in Gautam Buddha Nagar between August 22 and 25.

The districts authorities have started preparations for the PM’s visit.

Similarly , the state government was working round the clock to complete the Purvanchal Expressway which will also be inaugurated in August.

Already 95 per cent of the project work has been completed and the rest will be finished by the first week of August, sources said.

Along with this Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate nine new medical colleges in the state next month.

Earlier these medical colleges were slated to be inaugurated by PM from Sidharthnagar on July 30 . But now it has been postponed due to unfinished work in these medical colleges.

UP government has appointed nodal officers to complete these works on a war footing.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will pay a visit to Lucknow on August 1 to lay the foundation of the Uttar Pradesh State Institute for Forensic Sciences.

UP state institute of forensic sciences will be like a university with different courses and research facilities.
It will come up in 50 acres of area in Piparsand village in Sarojninagar tehsil in the state capital.

Earlier the UP government had proposed to set up Police and Forsenic Science University but after suggestion from the Centre it will be an institute affiliated to the National Forensic Science University (NFSU), Gandhinagar.

The Institute will also have a seat of centre of excellence and it will pave the way for research in the DNA testing in the state.

Meanwhile, on August, 7 and 8, BJP president J P Nadda will be in Lucknow to launch the party’s poll campaign by holding a series of meetings with the state leaders.
