Belagavi: BJP will definitely win the Assembly election in West Bengal, no doubt about it, said Union parliamentary affairs minister Pralhad Joshi.
He was speaking with media persons in Belagavi on Saturday and said that the BJP will retain power in Assam while it will do well in Tamil Nadu and Kerala he reiterated. BJP will get majority seats in West Bengal, Corruption was at its height in West Bengal under Mamata Banerjee rule he said. It is for sure here the TMC party will lose in the election and BJP will come to power, Pralhad Joshi said.
Bharatiya Janata Party will win both assembly and Loksabha by-elections in the state, he said. He was confident that BJP proposed a candidate for Loksabha Mangala Angadi, wife of former union minister of state for railways.
Asking a question related to any change of leadership in Karnataka, he said that there will be no change in leadership in Karnataka and BS Yeddyurappa will complete his term.
Jagadish Shettar, former chief minister and Industries Minister of Karnataka Jagadish Shettar said that the controversial and alleged CD scandal related to Gokak MLA and former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi will not have any bearing on the Belagavi Lok sabha constituency by-poll and Election would be contested on party lines.
He was speaking with media persons in Belagavi on Saturday Shettar on the sidelines of a preliminary meeting with party leaders regarding the by-election for Belagavi Lok Sabha Constituency.
He further said that the truth regarding the alleged CD scandal was yet to come out. People too have begun to suspect regarding the veracity of the CD, hence it will not impact the election. he said.
Shettar said, Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi and senior BJP leaders including MLAs and ministers from the district were preparing a strategy for party candidates victory in the by-election, he said.
Jagadish Shettar further said, There was no anti-incumbency against Prime Minister Narendra Modi government or BS Yeddiyurappa government in the state. BJP candidate will win by a huge margin in Belagavi Lok sabha by-poll, he stated.
Congress party fielding Yamakanamardi MLA and former minister Shathis Jarkiholi in Belagavi Lok sabha by-poll, but people will elect Mangala Angadi. Shettar said.
Many leaders including food and civil supplies minister Umesh Katti, women welfare minister Smt Shashikala Jolle, former Rajyashabha member Prabhakar Kore, MLA,s participated in to the Party leaders meeting at a private Hotel related to Belagavi Loksabha by-election in Belagavi on Saturday.
