Patna: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister, Sushil Kumar Modi on Friday said the brand value of RJD Chief, Lalu Prasad was zero for election and it has been established in 2010 Bihar Assembly Elections and 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
Modi said that Prasad was granted bail in fodder scam case relating to fraudulent withdrawal from Chaibasa treasury while in other cases, he had to remain behind the bars. RJD supporters were celebrating the decision of Jharkhand High Court to grant bail to Prasad in such a way as if he was acquitted in the case, he remarked.
Modi said that there would not have been any effect on the result of Bihar Assembly Elections even if he had come out from jail. In 2010 Bihar Assembly Elections, RJD had won just 22 seats and Prasad had actively campaigned, he said adding that same was the fate of RJD in 2014 Lok Sabha elections when the party had managed to win just 4 seats.
Modi said that the brand value of Prasad for the election was zero and it had been proved in 2010 Bihar assembly elections and 2014 Lok Sabha elections. RJD leaders and supporters were portraying Prasad as if he had been sent to jail for participating in the freedom struggle, he added.
