Brar & Reddy Out, Digvijay Singh in as Goa In-Charge

The general secretary and secretary duo of Jagmeet Singh Brar and Sudhakar Reddy who many in All India Congress Committee (AICC) and Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) have held responsible for their lopsided decisions during the Goa Assembly Elections 2012 which led to Congress defeat from 20 MLAs to 9 MLAs will now be replaced by none other than senior leader Digvijay Singh, known for his witty media remarks in recent times. Singh will now take-over as Desk-in-Charge of Goa along with Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

While local tall-leaders of the Congress were blamed for their dynastic politics that cost the Congress the seat of power in Goa, an analysis of the post-election report conducted under the aegis of AK Anthony has put an equal responsibility on the two senior AICC leaders whose inputs and reports provide on the candidates and the ground-situation were questionable in the light of the defeat.

The appointment of Digvijay Singh is expected to bring a major impetus to the sagging morale of the grass-root members of the Congress in Goa, who felt that the AICC leaders were nothing but mere monetary-bags collectors who never worked in the interest of the party in the state but some politicians, who ended up being defeated.
