Most of the hotels in the state are booked to capacity and even the starred hotels are witnessing a peak in their bookings. All the rooms at the Goa Tourism Development Corporation’s hotels are booked particularly as they are offering monsoon discounts which are quite attractive.
An indication that there is going to be a rush of tourists is the fact that private bus operators plying on the inter-state routes, have inflated their fares. Even air fares have gone up dramatically with a Bombay Goa flight now costing between Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 8,000.
