CAIT requests HM to provide special protection to city traders

New Delhi, Feb 27 (GCBusiness) The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has supported the steps taken by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other security agencies, including Delhi Police, in the north east parts of the capital, a statement here said.
“Stringent steps should be taken in establishing the rule of law in Delhi,” it added.

CAIT national Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal requested Home Minister Mr Shah and Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal to keep the shops of merchants extremely safe in Delhi, in the wake of violent incidents which happened in different areas in last couple of days.
“In any type of violent incident, the traders and their establishments are always a soft target and not only their lives but also on the goods stocked by them remains at stake. There is an atmosphere of extreme fear and dread among the traders in Delhi,” the statement added.

“With this in view, the CAIT has requested the Home Minister and the Lieutenant Governor to make proper security arrangements for the traders and business markets of Delhi and also said that the traders are ready to extend all possible support to the government and administration in this regard. It is necessary to take strict action on the chaotic elements and establish an atmosphere of peace in Delhi,” it added further.
