CBI Closes Case Against Manohar
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has closed the corruption case against Leader of Opposition Manohar Parrikar disclosed CBI Deputy Inspector General Pravin Salunke.
He said the investigating agency has already submitted a closure report stating lack of evidence to be the reason for closing the case.
Following a complaint lodged by Deputy Speaker Mauvin Godinho alleging financial irregularities while creating the infrastructure for the first International Film Festival of India held in Goa, the case was referred to the CBI.
Various persons including Manohar and Chief Minister Digambar Kamat were questioned by CBI in the matter.
