Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Goa unit President Vinay Tendulkar on Tuesday said that it was upto central government and Maharashtra Government to decide whether to ban Sanatan Sanstha or not.
Speaking to reporters at the party state headquarter in the city, he said,”That is the central government’s responsibility or the Maharashtra government will look into it.”
He was asked whether Sanatan Sanstha, which was headquartered in Ramnathi village in South Goa, should be banned in the wake of arrest of some of its members for their alleged links to the murders of rationalists.
When he was asked his personal opinion on the issue, he said, ‘What I feel or what anybody feels, it does not make a difference.”
However, he said the truth would come out in the open once respective courts began trial in the cases filed against members of the organisation.
