New Delhi, Aug 16 (UNI) The Government on Thursday declared seven-day National mourning on the demise of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting of the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The seven-day National mourning has been declared from August 16 to August 22, 2018.
Vajpayee will be accorded “State Funeral”, official sources said.
During this period, the national flag will be flown at half mast through- out India where it is regularly flown and there will be no official entertainment during the period of state mourning.
National Flag shall also fly half mast on the day of funeral in all Indian Mission and High Commissions of India in abroad.
