Today, the Communist Party of China (CPC) celebrates 100 years.
Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivering an important speech at a ceremony marking the centenary of the CPC on Thursday said that the CPC has united and led the Chinese people over the past 100 years for one ultimate theme – bringing about the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Xi Jinping summed up the four great successes achieved by the CPC in the past century.
- The Party unites and leads the Chinese people in fighting bloody battles with unyielding determination, achieving great success in the new democratic revolution.
- The Party unites and leads the Chinese people in endeavoring to build a stronger China with a spirit of self-reliance, achieving great success in the socialist revolution and construction.
- The Party unites and leads the Chinese people in freeing the mind and forging ahead, achieving great success in reform, opening up, and socialist modernization.
- The Party unites and leads the Chinese people in pursuing a great struggle, a great project, a great cause, and a great dream through a spirit of self-confidence, self-reliance, and innovation, achieving great success for socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
China’s success is not the success of the people of China. It is only the success of the draconian and stranglehold rule of the CPC in the country and the fear it has spread amongst the citizens of that nation. There is no democracy in China. Therefore, there cannot be a democratic revolution in China.
The people of China that Xi Jinping talks about uniting and leading to building a stronger China with a spirit of self-reliance are the people who adapted to the CPC way of life.
But there is a storm of resentment brewing in the hearts of some of the people in China, who yearn for true democracy and freedom from the communist shackles. CPC does not see it at the moment. It is comforted and contained that minor challenges to its hegemony
China has been a slithering dragon over the years planning its global outreach and dominion.
Leaders of the CPC believe that China has the potential and willpower to become a global economic superpower that can even overshadow the Western dominance in the global geopolitical realm. Under Xi Jinping, China is slowly rearing its dragon claws and its penetration into the affairs of most global nations.
China wants a paradigm shift in global power from the West to the East.
China uses its International Liaison Department, which is its foreign covert intelligence arm, to work with politicians, celebrities, and media in foreign countries while the United Front Work Department works with the diaspora of Chinese in foreign nations. These departments have only one mission push Chinese propaganda and work with foreign nations to ally with China’s vision under the CPC.
China under the leadership of President Xi Jinping is confident in its ability to scale high on its economic growth bar with its tough measures dispensing the search for true democracy for its people.
There is a storm of resentment brewing in the hearts of some of the people in China, who yearn for true democracy and freedom from the communist shackles. CPC does not see it at the moment. It is comforted and contained that minor challenges to its hegemony over its people and other nations.
China needs to be democraticised. The chances of China achieving democracy under a communist regime seem impossible and the people of China would have to wait until the fall of the CPC. The burden of that wait for democracy will lead the people to revolt against the communist powers of China in the years ahead.
President Xi Jinping speaks eloquently and forcefully spelling out his vision and mission for the people of China. However, Xi Jinping, like most authoritarian leaders fails to comprehend the power of the human mind and its desire to be free.
True power lies with the people of a nation and not a group of people who think they have power over citizens because they control the socio-politico-economic outcomes of a nation. USSR is a classic case of a communist regime that rose to power and then fell under the might of the democratic will of the people.
China will not make the mistake that USSR made. It is far more strategic and restrained in its foolhardy exhibition of power. It prefers a more carrot and stick approach to dealing with global issues and building on its global relations.
A foreign nation taking on China at this point in time will make a powerful and vengeful global enemy. In the battle between the US and China. China will cut the US with its famed thousand cuts strategy and political leaders would only resort to rhetoric against China.
China unleashed its bioweapon ‘Coronavirus’ on the world. It has led to the COVID-19 pandemic that has infected over 183 million worldwide and caused the death of 3.9 million innocent people. China’s two rivals in the global political scene – the US and India, have reported 34 million infected and 6.2 lakh deaths and 30 million infected and 4.0 lakh deaths.
While the US makes some noise about the origin of coronavirus being the Wuhan Virology Lab in China, India maintains a diplomatic silence on the COVID-19 pandemic allegations against China. Most governments in the world maintain a stoic silence on China’s role. No one will hold China accountable for unleashing its weapon of mass destruction of human lives and economies.
China will break not because of foreign pressure but because its own people will rise against the communist regime in search of true democracy because at the heart of the Chinese government propaganda that it works for the people of China democratically, the startling truth is that it works only for the interest of the CPC.
Until then, we must be wary of China it is a wolf in sheep clothing!
