Church holds prayer service for good health of Goa CM Parrikar

A special prayer was held at the Immaculate Conception Church, main church in the city, on Saturday, for good health of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar who was discharged from a hospital in Mumbai recently.

Speaking to reporters after the prayer, Fr Cleto Pereira said,’We know very well that God has given him (Parrikar) good qualities and wisdom and he uses this same wisdom and qualities to improve the lot of the state of Goa and therefore today the people from Panaji decided to have special prayers.”

“God rules the world through his chosen instruments and even in Goa, we have got the rulers chosen by the people, but everything works on account of God’s power and God’s will and we are very sad that our Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is sick,” the priest said.
