CII Goa to organise ‘GeM Business Facilitation for MSMEs’ virtually

Panjim: CII Goa will organise an interactive session titled ‘GeM Business Facilitation for MSMES’ on a virtual platform on September 5, 2020.

A statement from CII Goa said promoting Indian Industry had been one of the most important priorities for GeM, as laid out by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in ‘Atmanirbhar Abhiyan’.

”Government organisations together constitute the biggest buyer in the country and hence offer the best opportunity for the industry to market their products. GeM, being the national Procurement portal, provides a unique opportunity to manufacturers and service providers to do business directly with all Government Organizations of the country without any intermediary. Government would like to bring maximum sellers to GeM, especially MSMEs, so that they can enjoy the special benefits and Government offering to Indian Industry and MSMEs,” it said.

”GeM has initiated an awareness training and an onboarding program for MSMEs in the country to get connected with prospective GeM sellers through virtual platforms through the CII Goa Office with an objective to interact with members including MSMEs who are existing ‘registered sellers’ on GeM portal and brief the Industry about the various functionalities of Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and help them get on-board GeM Portal and also understand issues and challenges faced by users of the GeM Portal,” the statement added.

CEOs, Managing Directors, Proprietors, Decision Makers, Marketing Heads, Procurement Heads and Supply Chain Managers from Goan Industries have been invited to participate in the Interactive Session on ‘GeM Business Promotion and Facilitation for MSMEs’ being organized on a virtual platform, commencing at 1100-1300 hrs, the statement said.
