Hamirpur (HP): Twelve to fifteen per cent voters exercised their right of franchise for four civic bodies of the district in the first two hours of polling that started at a slow pace in the morning hours.
Since there was fog and chill in the climate, the voters turnout in the first hour was thin.
However, it became brisk once the day advanced, said Deputy Commissioner, Debashweta Banik.
She said that there was 17% voting in Bhota, 11.93% in Hamirpur, 15.17% in Sujanpur and 14.48% in Nadaun.
DC said that SOP was completely observed outside and inside the polling stations as per the government instructions.
The Decommer appealed to the people to reach polling stations in time to cast their votes.
