Panjim: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday said that higher secondary and college examinations will be held offline this year.
Speaking at a program organized at Harmal Panchkroshi Education Institute in North Goa, he said the government was stressing on offline exams this year.
”There is anxiety amongst students about when and how the exams will be conducted during the Covid-19 stricken year. A lot of students are wondering when will higher secondary school or college begin. We are stressing about offline exams this year. Class XI, XII as well as college exams will be held offline,” he said.
Schools in Goa are currently allowed to hold offline classes for Class X and Class XII students, while other students are being taught online.
Classes for Class X and Class XII students had begun on November 21, 2020.
Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has fixed dates for exams for Class X from May 13, 2021, while Class XII exams are to start from April 26, 2021.
