CM Demands Rs 800 Crore From Centre

Chief Minister Digambar Kamat demanded a special financial package of Rs 800 crore from the centre to carry o various infrastructural activities in the state.
Kamat met Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukharjee on Wednesday in Delhi and explained him the financial needs of the state while demanding for this package to boost sectors like agriculture, education, water resources, health and tourism.

The chief minister presented the financial needs before the Goa budget 2011-12, and stressed on Goa’s need for more funds to complete some of its major infrastructural projects such as building of convention centre, beach management, Mopa airport etc.
