CM wants to increase drug trade in South Goa: Curtorim MLA

Taking a strong dig at the Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, Congress Curtorim MLA Alexio Reginald Lourenco in his reaction to the probability of Sunburn Music Festival moving to South Goa stated that it appears that the Chief Minister and his government wants to increase drug trade in South Goa by taking such controversial music festivals to South which so far has seen better quality tourists than North Goa.

“South Goa has over the years kept itself away from such hyped and claimed tourism initiatives, which has given Goa tourism more negative coverage than positive. Just like North Goa tourism started its downward slide at a time when Parrikar was CM in his previous tenure, it appears that Parrikar wants to do the same to tourism in South,” expressed Lourenco.

The people of Goa don’t need to know under whose patronage the drug trade has flourished in the North belt of Goa; some of the BJP MLAs can certainly throw light on it, Lourenco further reiterated.
