Aurangabad (GCCurrentAffairs) Nov 7 (UNI) As a part of nationwide protest against failure of NDA-led central government on all fronts, the Congress led by district president Anil Patel, on Thursday held a dharna in front of district collector office.
Slogans were raised against the government for neglecting farmers in the state who were under panic situation due to the recent rain furry that damaged their standing crops which were ready for harvesting.
They also brought all types of different damaged crops samples and put in front of venue of agitation during their protest.
In their memorandum to the district collector, they alleged that demonetisation and the goods and services tax (GST) had adversely affected development, adding that unemployment was rising day by day in the country as well as in the state.
Due to slow down, numbers of companies terminated their employees in the country and instead of creating new jobs, they are taking away their jobs. The GDP was now 5 per cent from the earlier rate of 7.4 per cent.
They also urged the governments to take urgent measures to tackle the situation in the country.
